Yesterday morning we decided to try and go photograph Yosemite Falls even thought it was raining a little harder than I would have liked. But even though I was only able to shoot about 34 images before the rain drove us back to shelter I am extremely happy with how the shots turned out. The lower fall was flowing spectacularly and since it has been raining for the last three days the walls of granite surrounding the falls were all wet. This gave the stones a nice saturated look and like a very good friend of mine always says “dry rocks suck!”. I went back this morning to take a few more photos for the falls and while they are nice shots they didn’t have the impact that the previous days photographs. So I am very happy that we went out in the rain to create some images. Proving the old adage, and I am paraphrasing here, ” the worst weather makes for the best photos”. Shot using a #CanonUSA #EOS5Dmkiv with a #EF2470 lens.
